I Can't Deal

Compliments and affirmations - I CAN'T DEAL. Why can't I?

Have you ever just freeze, when someone praises you or tells you something really kind?

Contrary to what they say, our hearts don't melt straight away. It gets frozen in the moment when someone says something nice about us, to us!

We refract away what they say immediately from our minds, subconsciously disregarding, ignoring or suppressing whatever made us peaked up in momentary excitement.

Why so?

Why can't we give the same love to the people around us, to our own selves?

Maybe the world would be a better, safer and happier place not only when we give love.

But also when we receive love.

May your heart slowly be opened to the truths of who you really are.

It's not easy accepting positive traits of yourself especially when you're blinded to it by your own self-hatred.

But you need to know that you have so much potential waiting to be released. And if only you could believe in yourself first, then would it be released.

You are so beautiful, and I hope you'll learn to embrace kind words which come your way. May they build you up for the better.
