The Wonder Woman;

a pillar in my family,
has fallen.

Blow wind blow,
but she still stands tall.

But now, she's slowly losing her power.

And I am scared.
Sisterhood

the cards you gave,
I've yet to read.
the guilt hurts more
than if I'd to bleed.

i've prayed for us,
for us to meet.

and reconcile,
to how we used to be.
Wildflower

red roses &
yellow sunflowers.
born in January,
a wildflower.

colours as bountiful
as the seasons
she goes through.

many,
many seasons.

none came easy
at her fingertips.

but she stayed rooted,

she grew.

Shooting Star

a shooting star,
different from the rest,

screaming sparks across the land,
attracting many stares.
but very quickly,
it dispersed into ash.

you were that -
bright & burning
shooting star.

Grades will Fade

numbers & letters,
there's no end to them.
colours & patterns,
why can't we see them?

are we stressing ourselves over
a building which will collapse?
the foundation we
built our worth upon,
is that it?

numbers & letters,
there's no end to them.

Dear Anxiety

Anxiety anxiety,
why don't you leave
You're a stubborn stain
I want to be cleaned.
Anxiety anxiety,
why don't you leave
The day's ending, yet
you're still with me.

Why is your presence so overbearing?
What is it that you want from me?
My oxygen, energy & clarity?
You've taken enough of my youth,
don't follow me into adulthood.
